Kinetics
Dance Company

Kinetics Dance Company (KDC) is KDT’s professional resident dance company. KDC is made up of a cross-generational group of adult dancers from various backgrounds. The company’s work is primarily presented in Maryland, but is also featured in the greater mid-Atlantic region. Through the presentation of its contemporary work, the company shows its commitment to challenging conventional notions of what dance is, who dance is for, and where/how dance can be presented.

KDC members engage in weekly company classes and rehearsals. Company classes are open to the public and we encourage prospective members to participate! KDC rehearses on a consistent basis in preparation for their annual fall repertory concert, a collection of choreographic work presented by the Artistic Director, KDC members, and guest artists. KDC also engages in collaborations with Kinetics Youth Ensemble, the public school system, and the dance community at large. The company has a unique focus on dance education and strives to create accessible dance opportunities through workshops, master classes, and guest performances.

Prospective members should contact Artistic Director, Liz Quiñones, at Liz@kineticsdance.org for more information.
