Liz Quiñones
KDT Artistic Director
Liz Quiñones (she/her) is a dedicated dance educator, movement artist, and scholar. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and a K-12 Education certificate from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, as well as a Master of Fine Arts in Dance from Hollins University. Liz began her career directing a public high school dance program before transitioning to the non-profit sector as School Manager for Kinetics Dance Theatre (KDT). She now serves as KDT’s Artistic Director, overseeing all programmatic operations to ensure alignment with the organization’s mission. Additionally, she directs Kinetics Dance Company and instructs Jazz and Contemporary technique classes within Kinetics School of Dance. Liz has shared her passion for dance through numerous community engagements, presenting at conferences hosted by the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO) and the Maryland Dance Education Association (MDEA). She has led master classes for the Regional High School Dance Festival, the Maryland Public High School Dance Showcase, the Maryland Middle School Dance Showcase, and the Maryland Dance Alliance. She also teaches at public school dance festivals and facilitates professional development for K-12 dance educators. Furthermore, she served as an adjunct dance faculty member at Howard Community College. Liz currently performs with Kinetics Dance Company (Ellicott City, MD) and has previously performed with Full Circle Dance Company (Baltimore, MD). Her choreography has been showcased in events such as the Baltimore Dance Invitational, the Maryland Council for Dance Professional Artist’s Concert, the Howard Community College Dance Festival, and the 39th Annual Maryland Choreographer’s Showcase. In 2021, Liz was recognized as Dance Teacher of the Year – Private Sector by MDEA. She served on the MDEA Executive Board as Secretary from 2023-2025. Her current leadership efforts focus on creating safer dance spaces by studying diversity, equity, and inclusion research within the dance field.

Anna Aloi
KDT Operations Director
Anna Aloi graduated with a BA in Studio Art from the University of Maryland College Park in 1996. She specialized in oil painting/lithography & was on the Dean’s List consecutively during her academic tenure. After getting her Art Degree she went on to pursue her passion for healthy living & cooking by obtaining her license in food service management. Over the next 10 years, Anna was the manager and chef of a local College Park treasure. At the vegetarian/vegan café she planned menus, catered functions and taught cooking classes in a warm personal setting. In 2000, she moved to Ellicott City to start a family and quickly became part of the Kinetics Community. Having been a dedicated competitive dancer for over 10 years with Linda Natoli Studios of Dance, Anna was excited at the opportunity and accepted an invitation to join the Board of Directors in 2003. As Kinetics Dance Theatre has grown, so has Anna’s role over the years. Anna has served as Kinetics Dance Theatre’s Operations Director since 2011. And has over twenty years with the organization in some capacity.

Alex LeRoux-Watkins
School Director, Kinetics School of Dance
Creative Director, Kinetics Youth Ensemble
Alex LeRoux- Watkins has distinguished herself as an artist and educator throughout Maryland for over a decade. Holding a BA in Dance from UMBC, she has worked for KDT for 18 years. She began working with Kinetics Dance Theatre in 2008 as a faculty member, over the years broadening into the roles of Student Company Director, Company Member and Choreographer. Alex is the Creative Director of the Kinetics Youth Ensemble, KDT’s non-competitive student dance company for students in grades 4-12 as well as KDT’s School Director, overseeing weekly classes and other student-centered programs.
In addition to working with KDT, Alex has also worked as Senior Adjunct of Dance at Howard Community College, where she was the Assistant Artistic Director of HCC’s Dance Company for 5 years and teaching classes for dance majors and non-majors for 8 years. With a broad performance resume including work with Baltimore Dance Project, LucidBeings Dance and Masala Soul Project, Alex has performed in and created works for notable showcases (Megopolis Music Festival, Baltimore’s Artscape, The MD Choreographer’s Showcase and more).
Alex was awarded Maryland Dance Education Association’s “Dance Educator of the Year – Teaching Artist” for 2022. Alex is now serving as a Board Member for the MDEA. It is Alex’s goal to instill confidence and creativity in her students and collaborators of all ages. She feels strongly that dance education is reciprocal, and that she learns from her students every day.
